Itinerary

Day 1
Depart from Quito to Riobamba. Along the way, visit the Cotopaxi National Park or an Indian market. In the afternoon continue to Riobamba, panoramic view of the city. Overnight in a comfortable hotel.
Day 2
After an early breakfast, transfer to the train station in Alausi (two hours from Riobamba) where you will board the Train and you will have the opportunity to experience the adventure of the Devil’s Nose, a mountain with almost perpendicular walls. To overcome this obstacle a zigzag railroad was built that climbs more than 500 meters in less than 12 km with steep ascents and descents. Continue and enjoy in this picturesque ride, passing small Indian villages and impressive landscapes. Before arriving in Cuenca, stop for a tour of Ingapirca ruins. The Ingapirca ruins are easily Ecuador’s best set of pre-Columbian ruins, the Fortaleza temple of Ingapirca, known as the Castle of Ingapirca; it has an elliptical form in the direction of the west. Ingapirca means “The wall of the Inca” and it tells us of the greatness and richness at that time the Inca Empire held. This place without any doubt was a military and religious seat of the Cañaris dedicated to the tribal rituals. Continue to Cuenca, transfer to the Hotel.
Day 3
Enjoy a Cuenca city tour. The city of Santa Ana de losCuatro Ríos de Cuenca is the capital of the Azuay Province. It is widely regarded as the most European city in the country of Ecuador due to its 16th and 17th century era Spanish colonial architecture resembling cities and architecture throughout Spain. The city of Cuenca is located in the highlands of Ecuador, the Centre of the city is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Trust site due to its many historical buildings. Visit this colonial city and feel the history that surrounds it. Walk along the main plaza, Calderon Park, and enter the new Cathedral, whose pink marbled construction and colorful stained glass windows will take your breath away. Cross the same park to see the old Cathedral. Visit the Monastery of El Carmen and La Immaculate Concepción, El Rollo del Vecino monument and la Merced Church. Transfer to the Hotel.
Day 4
Departure to Guayaquil via Cajas National Park at 4000 meters of altitude, there are a collection of natural mirrors, It has more than 200 lagoons of amazing beauty. Panoramic view of the city of Guayaquil. Transfer to the hotel.
